Hello World

"Well hello there world! It's me Stacey, I'm back!! Did you miss me?"

After 2 years smothered by academia, I am done. I am free. I made it. And now I am standing here looking out at the world, blinking like a new born and wondering.... "what next?"

I'm going to miss being a student. There's certain qualities about that life style that really if comfortable. For example, knowing what's expected of you, and getting feedback (by way of grades and comments). Not to mention just plain learning.

Then of course... there's the laughter. I am going to miss the laughter the most, and the people that go along with it. It's very rare these days to be surrounded by people you enjoy on a daily basis. It's very rare to feel continually carefree. And that's what we had. And I'll miss it dearly. But I consider myself very lucky to have had it in the first place.

So, goodbye BCIT life. I'll miss you, but I am also happy to say goodbye.

I'm happy to say goodbye because it means I am starting on a whole new adventure. This one is a little scary, and pretty intimidating. It's a path that starts at the spot marked "FINDING EMPLOYMENT". And I am confident that will happen - its just a matter of when, and what... and if I will need to move for it.

But I'd also pressed the hold button on many other areas of my life while I was in school. For example - excercising, dating, seeing non-school friends. And now I get to refocus on those.

It's exciting.

However, that all has to wait 2 more weeks. Why?!?? Well, in about 6 hours I will be hopping on a plane and flying to California. And I'm not coming back for a few weeks. Time for a little Stacey time - and Alexa time, and Natasha time.

So my bags are packed and I'm ready to go...
Yes - I'm leaving on a jet plane.
